Japan Notebook
The Japan notebook is a brief impression of what I gleamed from the month I spent there in 2014, that's why I chose to call this a notebook rather anything more substantial. I saw a world that juxtaposes the ancient and the modern. Japan is not the futuristic science fiction stereotype that many people have of the country, in fact the Japanese have a love of preserving traditions, this is much more obvious when you are there. It's difficult to express in only 31 images, but this brevity is intended to encourage you to slow down and spend more time with each image rather than feeling a sense of haste to try and get through a lot of images, this is something that was clear to me, even in the people in the cities of Japan.
